About Merilli Farm
Merilli1885 sits on a working cattle farm that's been in our family for years. You'll see our Angus herd in the paddocks and horses grazing under ancient gums.
Here's what to know about staying on a working property.
For your safety, please avoid entering paddocks with livestock or any areas that are locked or marked as private or restricted.
Yes. For guest safety, two external cameras monitor the car park and driveway. Additional cameras around the wider estate assist with livestock and water monitoring only.
Being a rural property, encounters with wildlife, including snakes are possible. Please stay alert, avoid tall grass, and report any sightings immediately. For safety, keep doors and screens closed at all times.
We invite you to enjoy the beauty of the farm from a safe distance. For your safety and the wellbeing of our animals, please avoid entering paddocks or opening gates, and take care around electric fences.
If you do need to pass through a gate, please leave it exactly as you found it — whether open or closed, to ensure the safety of our livestock and maintain the natural flow of farm life.
The dams are a beautiful part of the landscape, but for your safety, we ask that you admire them from a safe distance and avoid entering the water or surrounding areas.
Yes. For everyone’s safety — including our pets who roam freely, livestock, farm team, and equestrian riders. Please drive slowly and take care while moving around the property.
Merilli1885 is a working farm. For the safety of guests, livestock, and farm staff, all machinery and equipment are strictly off-limits. We ask that you respect ongoing farm operations by observing from a safe distance and avoiding entry into working paddocks.
Please take care when using the indoor fireplace or the seasonal outdoor firepit, and never leave fires unattended. Fires and use of the BBQ are strictly prohibited on Total Fire Ban or Catastrophic Fire Danger days.
In the event of a Catastrophic Fire Danger rating or a fire incident in the region, all stays will be postponed or cancelled for guest safety. Guests will be personally contacted with updates and alternative arrangements.
