My husband and I had a beautiful and peaceful stay at Merilli. there’s nothing better than waking up to an orchestra of birds in the morning then sitting on the veranda in the evening watching the sun go down with a lovely glass of Pinot. Wish I could give it more than five stars.
Making our way down the long driveway towards the cottage the wife and I both said “wow this place is beautiful!!” We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage is so tastefully designed and equipped with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. We stayed in the cooler weather. My tip, get yourself a couple of nice porterhouse steaks, crack open a bottle of Shiraz, get the spuds on the boil, start the fire up and settle in for a lovely night at Merilli. Also, flick on the TV if the footy’s on it doesn’t get any better. The surrounding property is beautiful - we were lucky enough to witness four beautiful horses galloping past on their way to greener pastures this place truly is magical - wish I could give it more than five stars. Do yourself a favour and spend a few days at this glorious South Australian regional getaway!
What a glorious place this is to simply rest and recharge. They think of everything. The pantry and fridge is stocked with local fresh produce; the open fire is set and ready to go; the renovation is worthy of any award winning design! The hosts, well you don't know they are across the way, but will do anything for you if you need. Do yourself a favour and spend a few days at this glorious South Australian regional getaway! I love to cook and the kitchen is beautiful!
Our stay at Merilli 1885 was incredible. The attention to detail around the property, all the “little things” they have thought of, meant that our time there was extra special. I love to cook and the kitchen is beautiful! The oven helped me produce great meals and we enjoyed them with a glass of red, while the fire crackled. Sophie is the perfect host - she has thought of everything for your stay, but is only a short distance away, if you do need her….. although making sure you feel like you are the only people on the property. We wanted a place to unwind, and that’s exactly what we got.
My husband and I had a super relaxing and supremely comfortable stay at Merilli 1885. The house is beautifully designed and appointed which made it the perfect place for our lazy weekend getaway. We wanted a place to unwind, and that’s exactly what we got. We really enjoyed the many different spots to sit outside and take in the views (and the horses - feeding them was a highlight!). And the well-stocked, beautiful kitchen was just right for the Friday night when we decided to stay in and cook. The fireplace was just lovely, too. An all round fantastic, five-star stay! Absolutely loved our stay at Merilli 1885. Our mid week getaway was relaxing, luxurious and the perfect reset. From sitting around the camp fire, enjoying a beautiful breakfast with local products and saying hello to the horses .- We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect night and morning. We will be back! We have travelled a lot and this is our favourite place.
Amazing getaway. Well located with beautiful surroundings. Greeted by beautiful parrots in the evenings and waking up to singing birds. The rooms are well designed and decorated. Had such a lovely weekend. The private Chef just added icing to the cake. The meal was to die for. We highly recommend Merilli 1885. We have travelled a lot and this is our favourite place.
