We had such a beautiful stay at Merilli1885 in Currency Creek. The accommodation is full of charm, character and thoughtful touches, with a peaceful setting that makes it easy to properly switch off. It feels private and relaxing, while still being a great base to explore the Fleurieu Peninsula’s wine regions, including Currency Creek and Langhorne Creek, as well as the nearby beaches at Port Elliot and Victor Harbor. Everything was beautifully presented, comfortable and welcoming. High quality linen and special touches, that feel elevated and luxury. A really special place to stay if you’re looking for a quiet country escape with plenty of history and warmth. Especially if you want to live out your chic farm life dream in a Nancy Meyers-coded cottage. Highly recommend. The layout is perfect to share with another couple with comfortable and stylish bedrooms, bathrooms and brilliant kitchen and lounge areas enhanced with high quality furnishings and absolute comfort. Who doesn’t enjoy a wood fire to be warmed and mesmerised. Merrilli 1885 is a real standout, a high quality tourism gem, congratulations on successfully combining a perfect rural setting with an amazing property. Immaculate, private and peaceful. The house was gorgeous and so well organised with everything you could think of (beach towels, picnic rug, baskets) with a small amount of thoughtful provisions + continental breakfast provided. We stayed during the 40+ degree weekend and were able to stay relaxed and cool under the air conditioning while looking out at the view and enjoyed the lawn area during the night time, with uninterrupted view of the stars! Bonus only a short drive to the coastal towns if you want to explore. Sophie was lovely and responded promptly to any queries. Highly recommend if you need a country recharge.

Luxurious and comfortable, and very thoughtful in style and detail. A bounty of goodies were available on arrival, and a pantry full of gorgeous extras. Fabulous hosts who go the extra mile … and who are passionate and genuine. Merrilli1885 was hard to leave, although we are already checking out dates to return! Thank you for having us to stay, we loved every special moment.

Absolutely amazing experience staying at Merilli1885! Sophie is the perfect host. The home and surroundings are the perfect place to unwind or spend a weekend with a few loved ones. It takes you away to a place where you can sit around the beautiful french fire or go wander along the creek with the horses who love a scratch and some fresh grass. Couldn’t recommend this lovely spot enough.
We stayed at the beautiful Merilli 1885 for 2 night’s. Safe to say this was the nicest Airbnb my partner and I have stayed in by far. The cottage is stunning inside and out. Pantry and fridge stocked with heaps of goodies all included. Perfect place to get away to if you’re looking to relax and enjoy the peacefulness the countryside has to offer. We even ended up grabbing ourselves a cheeky Merilli 1885 candle to take home. Sophie was extremely hospitable and attentive. Couldn’t recommend this lovely spot enough. The host, Sophie, has thought of everything so you can cocoon yourself away for a weekend or more without having to think about anything other than which view you would like to enjoy next.
